
The new legislation MDHS 100, requires
the owners/occupiers of non-domestic buildings to:-
1.
have an asbestos survey undertaken to check for the
presence of Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM), and
2.
to keep an Asbestos Register of these ACM’s,
showing their plan for the management of ACM’s
present within the building.
This
legislation will be enforced by the Health and Safety
Executive (HSE) and following an allotted time-scale
to comply with the legislation, penalties will be imposed
by the HSE to Companies/Landlords not complying.
